The Festimatge 2020 will allow you to see the work of the photojournalist Jordi Borràs in the large exhibition hall, which will become the multipurpose of the Llobet-Guri Factory in April. The author will present a selection of iconic images that left the political autumn of Catalonia in 2019 in response to the Supreme Court rulings against the independence leaders of Òmnium Cultural, the Catalan National Assembly and the members of the Government that organized the referendum on 1- O.
Foto-Film Calella has been able to close the participation in the Festimatge of one of the photojournalists of the moment. Jordi Borràs will be presenting the exhibition he inaugurated this weekend in Sitges: a selection of sixty photographs from the more than 30,000 he made during the wave of protests over the ruling of the trial. You can see images of the occupation of the Barcelona-El Prat airport, the events that took place in the Urquinaona square of Barcelona or the cuts of El Pertús.
Borràs, who is also an illustrator, has specialized in social issues, with a particular interest in national and far-right movements both in Catalonia and throughout Europe. Often his photos capture that reality that is not in the mainstream media. In 2018 he published Days that will last years, the second best-selling non-fiction book in Catalan that year.
